Nick Beglinger

Nick Beglinger is Co-Founder and CEO of FFGS. He supervises the activities of the foundation, sets activity priorities, and launches new projects. Nick is also President of the swisscleantech business association.

As Co-Founder and Partner, Nick headed Maxmakers’ three year engagement with the Government of Abu Dhabi for the Masdar Project (as strategic and financial advisor) and was in charge of several other advisory engagements with public and private clients. His career started at McKinsey & Company in Germany and has taken him to China, Vietnam, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi. Nick holds Master degrees in Economics and Management from the London School of Economics (LSE) and the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS / HEC).

His professional focus areas are sustainable development and innovation, lifecycle analysis, strategic urban and regional planning, renewable energies, standards and certification. Nick is a board member of Minergie (the official Swiss sustainable building standard) and Maxmakers Ltd (a Swiss advisory firm), an active member of WWF’s Leaders for Nature, as well as a frequent author and speaker in his focus areas.

Nick bikes, plays the piano and soccer with friends, jogs, swims, and loves his four godchildren Christiane, Luca (whom he has beaten in table tennis :-), Philippe, and Raquel.
