Nachhaltigkeit.org (NDO) is the first German news service focused on 'sustainable development'. It offers sound and up-to-date information with the aim to enhance awareness and knowledge in the field of sustainability. NDO was initiated by FFGS, in cooperation with the independent editor Steffen Klatt and his news agency Café Europe. NDO was beta-launched in October 2008. The testing phase ended in May 2009. Over 2'000 articles were published to date.
NDO is advertising-free and targeted at decision makers in business, politics, and academia, as well as content distributors and professionals. Its definition of ‘cleantech’ (not as an ‘industry’ but rather an area of eco-innovation applicable across the economy) is that of FFGS. Current users are from different government departments, many different industries, SMEs and large firms. In its first phase, NDO will be exclusively published in German - with Switzerland, Germany and Austria as the target markets. FFGS syndicates selected NDO content, translates it into English, and publishes it in the news section of this website. |
